As a business owner, you want to ensure that your business is as appealing to your customers as possible, right? If the answer is yes, which is should be, then you need to ensure that you are doing everything possible to make your brand a highly appealing one. Because regardless of how amazing your business concept is, if you have no customers, it will fail.
Bearing that in mind, one thing that a large percentage of consumers are now looking for when it comes to choosing businesses to buy from is eco-friendliness. In 2018, we are acutely aware of the damage that has been done to our planet; our seas are filled with plastic, the ozone layer still isn’t properly repaired, and the ice caps are melting. Not to mention the fact that vast areas of forest are being destroyed every day to make paper, reducing the amount of oxygen we have and leaving thousands of species of animals without a home.
If you want your business to grow and develop, you need to think carefully about the environment and your approach to it as a business owner. An increasing number of businesses are going paper-free, and showing their customers that they are serious about helping the environment.
Want to create the same message and make your business that little bit greener? Here’s how to go paper-free!
Utilize the cloud
Instead of having files filled with paper on your premises, opt to store everything on the cloud. The cloud is a fantastic resource when it comes to going paper-free because it allows you to do so many different tasks online. From creating documents online, for free to saving files simply and easily into your online filing system. What’s great about the cloud is that it’s easy to share documents online with your team members as and when you need to.
Take advantage of virtual services
There are also various virtual services that you could take advantage of to help ensure that your business doesn’t require paper to run. For example, instead of sending out printed pay stubs, you could use an online pay stub generator to send your team members their monthly payment information. Or, instead of having brochures to give out to potential clients or customers, perhaps you could create an online version? The internet means that paper is no longer a necessity for businesses, it’s easy to run your business completely paper-free.
Put a printing ban in place. Make sure that your entire team knows that you no longer allow printing. Ask team members not to print anything off unless it is 100% necessary. When printing is required, using recycled paper that is sustainable-ly sourced is also a good idea. Emails are often printed out for reference but the fact is that this is unnecessary and a total waste of paper.
If you want to ensure that your business is sustainable and has the chance it needs to grow, going green and making simple changes like going paper-free, is a great step to take.
