Trauma? Medical challenges? A move? A relationship loss? A career shift? A new baby? Yes, we just had our first born baby by C-section, and we are incredibly happy and blessed. However, parenting is also creating stress for both of us as we try to figure this all out. Really, any change will create stress on the brain. No matter what the situation is that is creating the stressors, we always need a plan to keep moving forward.
This week, I am reading a book called Debt-Free Living by Larry Burkett. I am also reading up on some of my favorite financial blogs, it is always good to review what you know you already know.
Money… the lack of it, the way it is spent, stressing over, working 40+ hours a week for it. And if you are trying to do life with a spouse, well, then it is double the trouble as you try to do this whole money thing together. Seriously, you know that money is the #1 reason for divorce in America, no wonder it feels like you are trying to pull a lion’s teeth every time you try to talk about it. So let’s find a better way to do this, let’s pretend budget conversations are like eating dinner.
I am just enjoying the night, it is beautiful out. I am sitting straight up, legs crossed under me (because this is the only way to sit for perfect focusing, right?), sipping my black coffee. My computer is in front of me and my journal is open on the table beside me. For the first time in weeks, I want to write. So I shall.
